One of our members is going away this weekend.  We'll miss her.  She dropped her entries off tonight.  I've heard from other members who are scrambling to finish projects up.  There is something to be said about having a deadline!

There is a fireman's convention in the area this weekend.  We've heard up to 2000 could be attending.  We're hoping some of them stop by our show.....

I'm typing up the entry descriptions for the cards attached to quilts.  Can't wait to see them hanging!!

I just finished logging the entries I've received for the show - 146 quilts, wall hangings and a few miscellaneous items (runners, placemats, etc.) I expect a few more entries this week. 

The slips to be attached to entries will be mailed out tomorrow.  What a great assortment of member talent.  I'm anxious to see them all hanging!
 

Favors

Today I spent some time working on the favors to be handed out.  We'll have over 600 ready!  I hope we have over 600 attend!  Spread the word!!

From the 2011 Show

The Clarkson Cheel Center Arena will be a new venue for us.  We have used the Main Street Area of The Cheel Center along with a dining and mezzanine area for past shows.  The Arena is HUGE.  We'll have a few pains and hiccups, but we'll learn from them. 
Members are busy finishing up their entries, selling raffle tickets and getting the word out about the show.  
Past shows have been incredible with such amazing talent.  I'll post a few photos of past entries this week.
