Challenge Quilts
Theme - Seasons of the North County
The Rules ~
- Follow a seasonal theme - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. An idea might be a holiday in one of these seasons – Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas
- Size: The smallest dimension cannot be smaller than 10 inches and the largest no larger than 40 inches - For example: 10” x 10”, 10” x 40”, 15” x 25”, 40” x 40”.
- Your piece can be appliquéd, pieced, painted, beaded, colored, etc.
- Your entry must be hand or machine quilted and bound.
- Attach a label on the back of the quilt with any appropriate information, but be sure you include the name of the quilt, your name, and the date completed.
- The deadline for submission will be May 1, 2013. This is the date of our monthly group meeting. Quilts may be delivered before the date in a large brown paper bag to Debbie Baldwin, Sandra Harris or Kathy Casey. Please put your name on the outside of the bag.
- Three awards will be given in the following categories:
- The member's choice picked by votes at the May meeting.
- The best interpretation of the theme as judged at the Quilt Show.
- The viewers choice, selected from only the challenge entries at the show. Award ribbons will be placed on the Challenge Quilts at the show in June.
- Quilts will be returned at the conclusion of the Show on Sunday, June 9, 2013
